Exam Study Skills and Tips
- For each exam, spend at least 10 minutes gathering your materials and organizing your notes before you begin to study.
- Remember that making note cards and making your own study guides counts as studying (writing things down increases your retention).
- You should schedule study breaks into your study times; make a point of taking a 10-minute break every 40-50 minutes.
- As long as the group stayson task and you ask each other good questions, studying in groups can be helpful.
Time Management
- Spend the Saturday before exam week gathering and organizing your notes for each subject. Use this time to borrow/copy notes for classes you may have missed and to email your teachers with any questions you still may have about the exam.
- Spend Sunday studying for your Science exam on Monday morning.
- Aim to wake up well before your exam and make sure to eat a good breakfast.
