This website is being updated throughout 2010-2011. This portal webpage provides scheduling information, and it routes you to information about the various standardized testing programs for SSES students. Below the routing there is are links to information about prep classes for standardized testing and to information about special accommodations. 1 a). PSAT, SAT and AP testing schedules for 2010-2011 and 2011-2012
1 b.) Information about standardized testing dates for 2010-2011 SSES school calendar planning (This will be updated for 2011-2012 early in 2011.)
See the list of testing programs below and use the links to access information. At each number the first link provides information about the testing program and registration for the testing. The second link lets you e-mail the people responsible for particular testing programs at SSES.
2. AP Testing -- E-mail Ms. Catherine Crane ( <ccrane@sstx.org> ). Please wait for Ms. Crane to indicate when she is ready to take orders for May, 2011 AP tests.
3. PSAT -- E-mail Ms. Kimberly Garey ( <kgarey@sstx.org> ), and College Counseling ( <ccrane@sstx.org> ) . Note that 10th and 11th graders do not need to register for the PSAT. Ms. Garey takes care of the registration process.
4. SAT -- E-mail Mr. Mason Cox ( <mcox@sstx.org> ). (Much of this link will be updated by mid-September, 2010.)
5. ACT -- Contact SSES College Counseling ( <ccrane@sstx.org> ) for information about ACT testing. The ACT is not given at SSES, and no one works here as an ACT supervisor.
6. TOEFL -- Contact Ms. Ling Allen ( <lallen@sstx.org> ).The TOEFL is not given at SSES, and no one works here as a TOEFL supervisor.
7. ISEE & SSAT -- Contact SSES Admissions ( <mblack@sstx.org> ) .
8. Standardized testing for SSES Middle Schoolers -- Contact Ms. Diane Butler ( <dbutler@sstx.org> ) for information about ERB CTP 4 testing. Contact Ms. Bonnie Clemons ( <bclemons@sstx.org> )and the Duke Talent Identification Program for information about the SAT. Parents of middle schoolers should consult with Ms. Butler and/or Ms. Clemons before registering their child for standardized testing.
9. If you are seeking information about prep classes for high school standardized testing, please contact SSES College Counseling ( <ccrane@sstx.org> ) for advice. At the middle school level, please contact Ms. Diane Butler ( <dbutler@sstx.org> ) and/or Ms. Bonnie Clemons ( <bclemons@sstx.org> ) . Check around with other people and on the web to find additional suggestions for prep classes. Note testing supervisors are not permitted to advise others about prep classes for standardized testing.
