 Mike Davis is the Director of the DCWP, as well as the Head of the Upper School. He came to St. Stephen's in 1996 and and has been running the program since 1999. Mike is an avid climber, caver, and mountain biker who greatly values the opportunity to make connections with students outside the classroom doing things like studying the history and geology of the Colorado Plateau, exploring the archeology of the Anasazi Indians in Grand Gulch, Utah, or, climbing with students to the top of the Grand Teton. In 2001, Mike was named Outstanding Teacher of the Humanities by the Texas Council of the Humanities. Mike has a doctorate in History from Vanderbilt University and graduated from the College of Wooster in 1991.
       
 
DJ Walker is a firefighter with the Austin Fire Department assigned to the Special Operations Division. His work duties include responding to all special rescue responses during his shift (cave, cliff, confined space, dive, swiftwater, trench, structural collapse, haz-mat). He engages many outdoor activities including backpacking, caveing, and rock climbing. DJ has been a student of rope rescue for 6 years and teaches rope rescue, cave rescue, and assortment of other rescue and medical skills for various organizations.
 Becky Jones is the leader of the DCWP's caving program. She has explored caves throughout Texas, the Eastern US and Mexico, where she coordinates two survey projects. Aside from "coaching" at St. Stephen's, Becky is an instructor with the National Cave Rescue Commission and is a member of the NCRC Education Board. She co-wrote a Small Party Self Rescue Course for Cavers. She chairs the Safety and Techniques Committee for National Speleological Society. She is an EMT and teaches safety and rescue courses with STAR Rescue International. She owns Gonzo Guano Gear, a company that manufactures and supplies caving gear. Becky has a BA in Philosophy and History from Albright College.
