D-Term is a project that we have done in which we research poverty in relation to food (causes, effects, solutions, etc.) and go out and help the community. This website reflects the things we did. Acquiring food, a seemingly simple task, is one of the hardest for some people. The are many different issues with food in poverty, but there are also many different organizations that can help. Our first day of community service, we went to Mobile Loaves and Fishes and helped make everything and load an entire truck full of food and clothing for the homeless (picture below). On the second day, we went to Caritas and made Christmas goodie bags for the staff there who help others in need. Read Maddie's report here and Lily's report here.
