McKinney Roughs is a nature preserve/park outside of Austin. It is full of trails and various ecosystems with tons of wildlife. It is a great place to get outside and experience nature. |

Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve was founded in 1975 by the "Now or Never" project. It is a great place to get outside and experience the environment for yourself. |

Save our Springs Alliance (SOS) was founded in 1990 by a collection of citizens who wanted to fight a huge development proposal. Almost twenty years later, SOS is still protecting Barton Springs and Edwards Aquifer. |
