Poetry Presentation Assignment
At the time of your presentation, you'll read the poem and give a brief interpretation of it. Then you'll direct the class discussion of your poem, calling on people for their suggestions. On Oct.15, everyone will submit his/her essay on the poem that he/she presented. There is no prescribed length for the essay, but feel free to set up a conference with me to discuss the plan for your essay.Your essay will consist of a short thesis paragraph, at least one supporting paragraph, and a short concluding paragraph. As with in-class essays, begin each supporting paragraph with an arguable assertion, and use evidence to support your claims. Be sure to discuss the relevance of the evidence for your topic/assertion.
