DON’T MEET F-DAY; LONG PERIODS C-, G-DAYS. Note: there will always be an assignment made on days when class does not meet. You are responsible for homework on the online course calendar posted up to 4 PM the day before the homework is due.

tu 8/25 (A) WELCOME to Latin II! We start with review of the more important Latin I material. I urge you to review your Stage 1-17 checklist vocabulary cards. If time, distribute course information sheets.

Assign: memorize noun declensions (pp. 186-187 in the text), write out the Noun-declensional endings on the blank "Noun Declensional Table" in the review packet, including 2nd and 3rd declension neuter nouns (118), and declensions 4 and 5 (122). Have your blue Unit II textbook in class with you every day.

wed 8/26 (B) Start general review by discussing the terms on page 4 of review packet A. Start verb tables on page alpha 4 of the packet.
Assign: using the verb tables at the back of your textbook (p. 202f.), write out the verb sheets in full. Write complete words, not just verb endings. For example, on page alpha 4, S(ingular) 1 is "porto," S 2 is "portas," etc. etc.

th 8/28 (C one hour) Check review packet A material for questions, clarifications.

In class: principal parts of the verb reviewed in three different ways (review packet B). Using review packet B, review the irregular verbs sum, possum; agreement of adjectives with nouns in gender, number, and case; prepositions.

fri 8/28 (D) In class: using review packet B, write out exercises 15.3 (relative pronoun), 15.8A (more agreement of adjective and noun), 16.3 perfect and pluperfect tense.

In class: Case MO TRIBUNUS 20-26 patrem . . . tres horas habebat. Read this passage out loud first. By "case MO" I mean you are to write out the Latin passage in triple space. Then assign a case value to every single noun, pronoun, adjective, or participle above the word. You may also translate if you wish, but it is not necessary.
