Pronombres Preposicionales

When one needs to use a pronoun after a preposition, these are what one uses:

nosotros
ti vosotros
él, ella, Ud. ellos, ellas, Uds.

As you can see, they are mostly like the subject pronouns, which were the first ones you learned in Spanish I, with the exception of (instead of “yo”) and ti (instead of “tú”).

Remember what a preposition is? The shortest ones in Spanish are the following:

a en de por para con

There are also longer ones. Here are a few of them:

cerca de near to encima de on top of en frente de facing
lejos de
far from debajo de under junto a next to
al lado de
to the side of sobre over entre between
delante de
in front of fuera de outside según according to
detrás de
behind dentro de inside excepto except

There are a couple of things to remember about them:

1. With the preposition con, there are two special forms: conmigo (with me) and contigo (with you)

2. After the prepositions entre, excepto, and según (according to), use yo and instead of and tí.
